It’s the law… Considering everything you have to do to stay in compliance with labor laws, there is one simple requirement that you must not overlook: The responsibility to post notices explaining the provisions of the law. The notices include, Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Employee Polygraph Protection Act, Equal Employment Opportunity Act, Notice to Workers with Disabilities, and the Job Safety and Health Protection Act… It is easy and FREE to download the posters from the DOL website.
The address is: http://www.dol.gov/elaws/posters.htm or http://www.dol.gov/compliance/topics/posters.htm, select the posters and print them. The law says that they must be posted “in conspicuous places in every establishment where such employees are employed so as to permit them to observe readily a copy.” Please let me know if you have questions.
